Description

Spirulina is a type of natural microalgae known for its high nutritional value, and is a member of the cyanobacteria family. It provides benefits to humanity through photosynthesis and naturally contains protein, vitamins and minerals. (It is a type of blue-green algae.)

It is grown in culture ponds using clean natural water sources, away from heavy metals and polluted environmental water. With a protein content of over 60%, spirulina is a true source of protein and is therefore recognized as a superfood of the century.

Spirulina is widely recognized as a plant-based food source, especially consumed heavily in the Far East and America, and derives its name from its spiral shape, a characteristic of microalgae.

After filtering through natural fabric filters, the spirulina turns into a paste-like consistency, then after washing it with fresh water, it is left in sedimentation tanks to remove the spirulina after drying on nets made of natural fibers to form pasta. Once completely dried, it is ground into powder through mills, ensuring that no nutrients are lost.

Spirulina is known to contain beneficial minerals such as iron, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium and potassium, as well as vitamins B, E and K1, naturally.

Spirulina also naturally contains some fatty acids such as omega fatty acids. The pigment phycocyanin (C-phycocyanin), widely known worldwide as blue spirulina, is responsible for the blue color of the blue-green algae, which spirulina is made of.

The ground spirulina is packaged without any additives. It can be eaten with foods such as muesli and cereals, and can be mixed directly with water, milk and yogurt.

It can be added to juices and fruit juices, especially preferred with orange juice because of its ability to mask the taste of orange juice when added. It is recommended to be consumed without heating.
